A full-time undergraduate college student?

Have you:
Completed high school and a first year of college studies?
Participated in vocal music in the past year in some way?

If you answered “yes” to the above questions – you are eligible to apply for the NEW SRCS Undergraduate College Scholarship. Applications are available online.

Application deadline is June 10.

The SRCS Chorus and Orchestra will present a tribute to the greatest Hollywood movie tunes of the 20th and 21st centuries. Dinner, music, silent auction and a martini bar will be featured.

Learn about wine and food pairing, wine making, take a private guided winery tour and enjoy an evening of casual enterainment to support the SRCS scholarship and operating funds.

The SRCS Chorus led by Barbara Perry will perform inspiring and powerful pieces from the gospel and spiritual traditions. You will hear the chorus render pieces that include I Want Jesus to Walk With Me, He Never Failed Me Yet, Prayer for the Children and Didn’t My Lord Deliver Daniel.

Barbara Perry will also perform selected inspirational pieces and share important information about her effort the deal with this disease in her family and community.

One Enchanted Evening

Featuring the SRCS chorus and combo. Our fifth in a series of dinner theatre performances to benefit our scholarship and operations. Barbara Perry and the SRCS present an evening of magic, mystery, enchantment, and of course great food! Featuring special guest, Michael Taggert, Magician Extraordinaire.

In the elegant setting of Seacobeck Ball Room on the University of Mary Washington campus, patrons are treated to a specially selected four course chef's Magical Menu. The SRCS chorus and instrumental combo will enchant you at tableside all through the evening.

Special guest star, Michael Taggert, Magician Extraordinaire, will present an amazing magical show. Michael has performed in the US, UK, and Germany and has had shows in such prestigious places as The Royal Embassy of the Netherlands, The National Theater, Washington DC, and most major festivals In the state of Virginia.

The SRCS society presents a fun program of lighter music each summer. Our summer concert is always a delightful offering of something very unique to the music scene. This season we will feature music with a wild animal theme in many different and surprising styles. We will also feature special performances by our 2008 scholarship winners.

SRCS presents our annual Christmas concert. This local tradition features Handel's Messiah presented by the chorus, soloists, and orchestra. The evening's program will open with selections of Christmas choral arrangements favorites. The main program features familiar solo and choral selections from Handel's Messiah, including the cherished Hallelujah! chorus.
